The academy has been formed by a select group of housing organisation who recognise the need to deliver highly trained and knowledgeable staff to work in neighbourhood renewal and regeneration. The members of the partnership are:

Each of the steering group members is committed to:
- Contributing to the development & delivery of the curriculum
- Supporting trainees in terms of time, attendance, reading, and on case study/project
- Taking responsibility for monitoring and evaluation of course and trainees’ programme
- Arranging a mentor for each trainee
